Stylish and sustainable is no contradiction. Conran and Partners were appointed to design the guest-room floors within the QO Hotel. Situated on the banks of the Amstel in Amsterdam, QO Hotel is a key example of a new approach to sustainability within the hotel industry.
The ‘circular design’ concept for the 300+ room hotel ensures the unused resources can be either recycled or re-used within the design. A system designed that requires little energy to produce and even less to maintain. Ultimately making the project self-sufficient.
Architectural practices Mulderblauw and Paul de Ruiter worked on the design of the new hotel tower, using recycled and natural materials along with an intelligent façade.
