A contemporary reinterpretation of a French brasserie. From menus and matchboxes to lights and furnishings, Conran and Partners design considers the complete guest experience. Parlé is a reinterpretation of the classic French brasserie for 21st century Istanbul. The brand and interiors take inspiration from the notion of abundance – of produce, good food, and time for conversation – that’s at the heart of the French dining experience.
Copper details – a reference to traditional French cookware – feature throughout: inlayed into the black and white marble floor, topping the cocktail bar, on menus and napkin rings. Two dramatic, custom-designed copper chandeliers light the high-ceilinged space, and copper flagons nestle among the wine on the dark timber shelves that line the room.
Parlé is full of playful references to abundance. Patrons order from generously proportioned menus, sweeten their coffee with outsized sugar sachets and dine under lavish lighting.
