Good design improves the quality of people’s live. From London to Japan, Paris and Seoul, Conran and Partners designs for the Conran Shop have evolved over the years to meet the needs of the luxury lifestyle retailer and the changing face of retail.
The practice transformed the old stable building in Marylebone, retaining the original façade and inserting a new concrete structure behind. A steel, glass and reconstituted stone staircase wraps around a glazed lift shaft in the centre of the shop, forming the main customer route to the upper levels.
The Conran Shop is now globally recognised with stores in Paris, Nagoya, Fukuoaka, Seoul, Shinjuku, Marunouchi and Gangnam.
