Bond Mansions

Bond Mansions is wholly residential mansion terrace block, which as part of wider regeneration strategy, replaces an existing 1960’s brick block which was no longer fit for purpose, in part due to its proximity to a mainline railway at the rear, which posed severe acoustic challenges.

Acting as a spine to the site, and turning its back to the busy mainline railway, the new building form of Bond Mansions responds to the sweep of Wornington Road. Each unit enjoys a southerly aspect over a new London square which connects with Portobello Road.

Bond Mansions provides 91 new homes, 70% of which are social rent – a primary objective was to ensure no distinction between tenure types either in design or generosity of thought. To this end, we extensively consulted with existing residents on numerous aspects including patterns of living, layouts and material preferences. External materials include Chablis brick, reconstituted portland stone and anodic bronze PPC metalwork. This high quality also represents client ambition for superior homes for all.
