A familiar and approachable neighbourhood destination. Conran and Partners’ first Albion project sits on the ground floor of the Boundary Hotel in Shoreditch. The former printworks sits on a relatively open corner site which inspired the practice to ensure the spaces engaged with the activity at street level, drawing people inside whilst providing a contrast to the higher-end restaurant on the lower ground floor.
Albion Bankside demonstrates a contrast in location and building to the original and traditionally built home of Albion at Boundary. The practice applied the same look and feel throughout the branding on the contemporary glass facade in Southwark. True to its name – an ancient moniker for our fair isle – Albion serves hearty British food in unpretentious, well-designed surroundings.
