Nick Edler

Associate Director
Nick is an architect with a passion for the craft of designing spaces and buildings, from masterplans to the refurbishment of listed buildings.
In all of his projects he applies a sensibility towards how conceptual ideas manifest through the materials, form and details. Thinking very much from the macro to the micro, through numerous media from the 2B pencil and sketch pad, to working card models, to CAD, BIM and CGI’s, all with a view to creatively consider problems and solutions from a number of angles.

Although Nick has experience of a wide range of project types, his particular focus is on multi-unit residential schemes of mixed tenure. He enjoys exploring the potential of the spaces between buildings and their role in contributing to the richness of the urban realm and connecting neighbourhoods. As a certified Passivhaus Designer, he thinks holisitically from project inception to completion.

Nick joined Conran and Partners in 1998, becoming an Associate Director in 2023. He has since worked on a number of award-winning projects, including both the interiors and exteriors of buildings, but always thinks beyond the ‘red-lines’ of a development to create spaces, places and buildings that enhance the lives of the people who use them and connect to the wider context.
