Our Associates Marcus Pethica, Nick Edler, and Head of Sustainability Anja Schellenbauer have received the seal of approval from the Passivhaus Institute – expanding our studio’s wide-reaching experience and core of knowledge in the field of Sustainability.
Conran and Partners has a rich history of low-carbon and innovative design – with the genesis of the studio being through a series of transformative retrofit projects, through to recently delivered schemes where we have been able to push the boundaries of sustainable design.
Keeping up to date – and staying ahead of the game – is fundamental to our current approach to Sustainability, bolstered by the knowledge and skills acquired through this globally recognised accreditation.
Anja Schellenbauer, our Head of Sustainability, concluded:
“Embedding knowledge within our team is integral to our way of thinking. We are delighted and enthused to have increased our expertise in the field of sustainable design through an immersive and thought-provoking route to becoming Certified Passivhaus Designers.
Our wider team are already benefitting from in-house, bite-size CPD’s – transferring this knowledge and generating excitement.
Our approach is holistic – relevant across both our Architecture and Interior Design teams – especially for those projects where we are the designers for both. This not only provides our clients with the added value of a joined-up, 360-degree approach – but also means we are able to think about the requirements for net-zero energy buildings from the viewpoint of both disciplines.”
