AWARDS | Tina Norden crowned Interior Designer of the Year 2021

The highly anticipated post-lockdown event that brought together the people who represent the hotel interiors supply chain, finally came to fruition in November. We were delighted to be part of the event held at the iconic Business Design Centre in Angel, London.

Our pavilion – MAKING SP_CE takes form in a stripped-back space to work, highlighting the importance on the people who occupy and define a space to work in a post-pandemic world. To reflect our environmental efforts, the materials and products acquired were sustainably sourced, including our table made from grape pulp. Beyond the exhibition, we look forward to seeing our shelving units at their new home in an East London library.

The concept ‘Working from Hotels’ was a product of collaboration with our suppliers, in safe, social ‘bubbles’ in the immediate facility, our aim was to create a fully interactive and collaborative experience based on the future and ‘the new normal’ of workspace design within hotels.

The eco-conscious design environment evolved throughout the two day event, through a series of creative workshops which offered exhibitors the opportunity to leave their mark and subtly redefine our space.

With special thanks to our collaborators CARL HANSEN & SØN, Muuto, Double Decker, Vivien Reinert, Matter Of Stuff, Tomoko Kakita, Fredericia Furniture and Coolbox for capturing the event.
