Parlé is a reinterpretation of the classic French brasserie for 21st century Istanbul. The brand and interiors take inspiration from the notion of abundance – of produce, good food, and time for conversation – that’s at the heart of the French dining experience.

Copper details – a reference to traditional French cookware – feature throughout: inlayed into the black and white marble floor, topping the cocktail bar, on menus and napkin rings. Two dramatic, custom-designed copper chandeliers light the high-ceilinged space, and copper flagons nestle among the wine on the dark timber shelves that line the room.

As a nod to the Paris of old, the menus, matchboxes and uniforms feature etchings of antique spoons, champagne saucers and tobacco pipes. These are complemented by custom-crafted, French-inspired typography drawing from classic Avant-garde film posters.

Parlé is also full of playful references to abundance. Patrons order from generously proportioned menus, sweeten their coffee with outsized sugar sachets and dine under lavish lighting.
