Park Hyatt Jakarta
MNC Land
A new landmark hotel in the heart of Jakarta
Inspired by the natural beauty and traditional craft of Indonesia, combined with the contemporary diverse and culture of Jakarta.
Of the range of hotel brands under the Hyatt umbrella, Park Hyatt is the most luxurious and contemporary. Its hotels are defined by individuality and character, with an emphasis on spacious guest bedrooms and suites inspired by residential architecture.
We were asked to design the interiors of Park Hyatt’s new hotel in Jakarta. Set within a landmark tower – developed by MNC Land and set in the centre of the Indonesian capital – the hotel occupies the first three and the uppermost 17 floors of the 37-storey tower, with offices occupying the levels in between.
Our design includes the interiors of the 220-plus guest rooms and suites but also the multiple food and beverage spaces, a pool, fitness centre and full-service spa, as well as a three-storey function and ballroom facility.

The design seeks to respect Park Hyatt’s guidelines while creating a luxurious sense of space for guests, drawing combined inspiration from the multi-cultural aspects of Jakarta and the natural beauty and traditional crafts of Indonesia.
The result is contemporary but also textural, using traditional materials and vernacular references within a rich and natural palette. Jakarta is an Asian metropolis at the centre of a country of countless islands and an extraordinarily beautiful landscape.

For many people, the city is the first point of arrival in Indonesia, so we wanted to bring some of the country’s natural beauty into the hotel and showcase its vast natural resources as well as Indonesian artistry and handicrafts.
