Taking centre stage
Beat the January Blues and do something different this weekend by exploring our magical city as it becomes host to weird, wonderful and colourful light installations. Dotted around iconic areas of the city from Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street, Westminster, Mayfair and King’s Cross, the Lumiere Light Festival is the biggest of its kind to reach the capital.
For us, the light festival is a very special occasion, as Centre Point’s original letters are on full display beneath the National Portrait Gallery in Trafalgar Square. An icon of the 1960s, it is a rare occasion to walk beside them.
Produced by Artichoke and supported by the Mayor of London, the 30 installations will illuminate the city from 6:30pm to 10:30pm every evening finishing after Sunday.
So go, explore, take lots of photos and don’t forget to mention us on twitter! @weareconran @CentrePointLDN #LumiereLDN
