Conran and Partners achieved planning permission in winter 2009 for this significant Student Residential scheme on Great Suffolk street. This prime London site is a mere 500m from Tate Modern and all that bankside has to offer.

The scheme will comprise 671 student bed spaces and commercial space at street level.

The scheme can be broken down into three elements - the main building, fronting Pocock Street, a second, glazed, triangular building and a series of three pods which will fly over the main building.

The pods, clad in metal, will have views to the Tate Modern, St Paul’s and beyond. Predominantly built in pale brick, with punched openings, each of the apartments in the main building will have a timber or concrete balcony.
