The Royal Exchange
D&D London
Interiors

The Grade I-listed Royal Exchange is arranged around a dramatic covered courtyard. The Grand Ca-fé and Bar, designed by Conran and Partners, forms the centre-piece of this redevelopment, tak-ing its inspiration from elegant early twentieth century Viennese coffee houses.

Dominating the centre of the courtyard, once the trading floor of the Exchange, is an island bar of gleaming pewter with a dramatic high-level central display, surrounded by café-style seating. The cocktail bar on the mezzanine floor, provides a relaxed clubroom environment.

Take drinks in the upper level colonnade or nibble away from the crustacean bar on the floor of the atrium. This is a seriously good addition to London’s drinking circuit.
